oniyide said: "Don't let this be true?" LOL, so people want to keep using a crappy service?? Yeah the EA thing doesnt look great, but it has to be better than what is available now. Hulu and Netflix is a given, Origin maybe. Steam, doubt it. Im just happy not to deal with silly friend codes, one step at a time and it looks like the right step. |
I rather use the Wii's service than have third parties (especially EA) take over the direction of Nintendo's platform.

Reggie: " Our approach [to online] will be a flexible one, literally taking the best of what each of our third party partners has to offer, marrying that with the best of what Nintendo does, and bringing that versus a more rigid, a more closed type of environment."
Nintendo say they want the system to give freedom to 3rd parties, not give them total control.
You have nothing to fear...except, you know, your inevitable fall next gen like I promised. *Grins*

How about getting third party software before we go into a third party freedom on a online service...

thats all part of the support. look at it this way, if the online is not a pain in the ass. It could actually get some decent DL games that the HDs and PC were getting. Limbo, Braid, Outland, Scott Pilgrim, Mvs.C2, SF3online, SonicCD, Castlevania, etc. etc.

No....I dont mean virtual console support, I meant actual game releases side by side with Sony/MS consoles lol.
|
??? Outside of Mvs.C2, SF3online and Sonic all the games i mentioned were ORIGINAL games in their respective series. Im not worried about support and neither should you. Aliens, Darksiders and Ninja Gaiden are confirmed and they are about as far as anything released on Wii as you can probably get. Wii U might have to play catch up, but at least it will be getting GC and 64 level support and probably more.
