While the government entity is pretty good about keeping the truly secret secret, cosmetically refined updates to established products tend to hit the FCC's website before their official announcements.
Such, it would seem, is the case for the white PlayStation 3. The alternative color console has been available in Japan for a while now, and with FCC approval newly gained, it's only a matter of time before Sony officially announces the White PS3 in America. The glossy black PS3 is really quite pretty, but does tend to rather noticeably display dust and fingerprints. The upcoming white model will probably be a bit easier to keep clean, and should blend in among white / grey Wiis and 360s for a unified / OCD look."
