I might as well address the main point of the thread while I'm at it.
Sony didn't cram high tech technology into the PS2, PS3 and Vita because they're big softies that can't bare their gamers playing on inferior hardware. They did it because they thought it was the best way to ensure they'd make as much money as possible. End of story.
