I really wonder how Sony is able to know how well the device will sell before even the marketing starts. If anything the reason for this could the horrible exchange rate between yen and western currencies. They are taking too big losses per unit so they undership.... In Japan Vita probably makes profit but with these horrible dollar and euro exchange rates they probably make pretty big loss per unit in the west. During last E3 when they announced Vita Euro was something like 110 yens...Now it's under 100...
