You'd be surprised Squilliam.  Like, I remember a good year before the 360 released I used leaked 360 spec sheet as a basis for a presentation (We had to take an English writing class in our program and a presentation was an assignment).  The specs that were in those sheets were spot on to release; right down to the registers.  If Microsoft plans to launch in 2013; the hardware is already finalized (Same with Sony).

Exactly.  They can't go around changing specs when developers are already in the middle of making games for it, it would screw them up.  And giving these are new consoles they have never worked on before, they are going to need at least 18 months to start to know the ends and outs of them while making their games.

no...just no,they don't even need 1year to know the ends unless MS/Sony gonna downgrade it
