Ugh. Deathly Hallows part 1 was miles better than part 2. The entire battle sequence in part 2 was just wrong. They made unnecessary and often counter-productive changes when following the novel more closely would have worked better.
The Harry/Voldemort battle was particularly bad, as was the disposal of the Elder Wand. Not to mention how Neville kills Nagini in the books was far superior to the movie's take on it.
On the other hand, part 1 couldn't have handled the death of Dobby any better than it did. It was more touching than the book, in my opinion. And part 1 was just creepy. The director's use of sound and cinematography to create an eery atmosphere of loneliness and desperation was wonderful.
