Don't get me wrong, the article is filled with sensationalism, but it brings up some relevant subjects none the less. The way Sony is handling memory cards, for example, feels like it's trying to hide the real cost of the device from the consumer, while breaking promises that could easily have been fulfilled. If the article is supposed to be a way of finding the factors keeping the Vita from being succesful, it is indeed quite poor and practically irrelevant. But if it's supposed to be a way of communicating to Sony what kind of improvements consumers would like in the Vita package, it's much more relevant. |
but that's the problem here...the fact that customers are not happy with mem card prices is common knowledge and have been mentioned in dozens of mainstream articles now. But the article brings nothing new to the table. Not in content nor in thinking. The article TSA did was much better at least compared to this, that article was bascially saying hold your horses for a sec! which is absolutely true. I have yet to find one single mainstream article that discusses the Jp situation properly, not a single one. I was actually thinking of doing a detailed thread here on the matter but the way some are coming out en mass to bash the device with snarky and spiteful comments made me change my mind.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the situation is rosy...but it's not dire either. The gen is just starting and if anyone is capable of a comeback..that would be Sony. History has shown that much at least.
I guess I'm a little tired of all these articles you know...
