| Boutros said: What do you mean not in the PR? Did you read the article? Capcom and Nintendo struck a deal to make MHTri exclusive to the Wii. Even Iwata said it was Nintendo's strategy to ''expande the game-player population''. Such thing did not happen for MH4 which leads to believe it is not the same situation as MHTri and we very well might see the game on another platform. If the game really is exclusive to the 3DS, I think we would have heard about it by now don't you think? |

Capcom Co., Ltd. (Capcom) is pleased to announce the development of a new edition in its mega-hit "Monster Hunter" series: "Monster Hunter 3 (tri-)" for the Nintendo Wii.
The "Monster Hunter" franchise is a series of action games that puts the player in the boots of a fearless hunter tracking down and battling huge and ferocious monsters all while traversing breathtaking natural environments. To date, the series has shipped over 4.5 million copies worldwide (as of September 30, 2007). The "Monster Hunter Freedom" series for the PSP® (PlayStation® Portable) system (referred to below as the PSP® system) makes use of Network Play to build upon the gaming experience, which has boosted its popularity, especially in the student market, and has also helped to make it the first PSP® game to sell over a million copies in Japan. The series has also been the recipient of numerous awards with "Monster Hunter" for the PlayStation®2 receiving the Award of Excellence at the Eighth Annual CESA Game Awards and "Monster Hunter Freedom 2" receiving the Grand Award at the Japan Game Awards: 2007.
Capcom has worked tirelessly on the latest title in the series, "Monster Hunter 3 (tri-)", to utilize the unique aspects of the Nintendo Wii, which will create a "Monster Hunter" game unlike any of its predecessors. The attractiveness of the Wii experience is sure not only to please existing fans of the series, but also attract newcomers to this unique adventure.

"Monster Hunter 3 (Tri) G", scheduled for release on December 12th, 2011, utilizes "Monster Hunter 3 (Tri)" (Released on Nintendo Wii®, August 2009) as its base, and will contain new elements that take advantage of the Nintendo 3DS and its capabilities. Not only will players be able to enjoy the feeling of depth from the 3D perspective, but the game will take advantage of the system's wireless functionality. In addition to the familiar controls, a customizable touch panel will also make controlling the game even smoother than before. Finally, G rank quests, new monsters, equipment, and new supporting characters will be included in order to satisfy long-time players, as well as those who are new to the franchise.
Making games multiplatform is a basic strategy, and Capcom has strengthened the "Monster Hunter" franchise, as well as other popular brands, by using it. Capcom will continue to meet the player's expectations through superior developmental knowhow and research, and by choosing hardware that benefits our games the most.
