A complete overhaul.

I've recently been playing Anniversary and realised just how little it's changed since then - same enemies, same gameplay, same weapons. The only radical departure came with ODST, everything else has been baby steps and little (largely crappy - I'm lookin' at you Reach load-outs) tweaks.

I'm pretty jaded about Halo now. It's gone the way of CoD for me - such a superb game, but done to death with spin-offs and yearly iterations, so now I've started to dislike it. I guess I'm burnt out. I'm not gonna buy Halo 4 unless it's radically different and actually brings something new to the table. There's certainly potential for that, especially with the hints at forerunner tech playing a big part, but I ain't banking on it. I think 343 will play it safe. I have zero faith in them actually, after they messed up co-op in Anniversary so badly and STILL haven't fixed it. Yeah, screw you 343.

Bet you do....

Trust me he won't, he only got Reach and Anniversary cos I begged him

I will pick up Halo 4 more than likely, but I echo Machina's sentiments, I want radical change.

I certainly dont want radical change, I'd rather see evolution.  I would also like some aspects of the CE campaign return.

Also I dont see this kind of impatience and intolerance with other genres ot titles....  mind numbingly boring beat 'em ups like Mortal Wombat (or whatever its called) for instance

There have only been 2 Mk's this entire gen : and the one that just came out feels very fresh and packed.

Some franchises just feel old and worn no matter how many iterations there are. Fable has only had 2 games this gen but the majority are sick of it and don't want anymore. Whereas Forza has had 3 and people would still lap up another one.

Wars, ODST are both great, but the main iterations this gen have been very boring for me.
