wow where to start ok, so you say that fps is popular because of online, yet one of the first games on a console that got people into fps games is golden eye for 64. online doesnt make or break an fps. bioshock and metroid are considered the best of their kinds and they have no online. so i dont really see the connection here with that. people can pay microsoft just to play online, thats fine. the market is what determines the prices, as i have said a couple comments ago. yes, we agree that it is good that the wii is inclusive of gamers outside of a 17-30 range, but if microsoft would just.. go away, its not like these gamers would have nowhere to go. the wii is very inclusive of that demographic. not to mention there still is a ps3, i dont see whats so horrible about that. |
and GE isnt as popular as Halo was, neither is Bioshock or Metroid?? Is that even a FPS, cause if it is its the most boring one ive ever played. YOu think people are buying COD every year for the offline?? Please.
Thats just the thing the WIi is NOT all inclusive, it is missing an ass load of popular 3rd party games, hell they are missing whole genres. Bioshock, Assassin's Creed, Street Fighter, new Mortal Kombat, Mvs.C, Orange Box, Portal 2, Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Soul Calibur, Tekken, Batman, Saints Row, GTA, FF, Metal Gear Solid, etc. Those are all million sellers and they have no representation on Wii. I didnt even get into the DL games and im sure there are a hell of a lot more retail games. If anything thanks to Sony and MS own motion control devices those consoles are probably more inclusive than Wii is. They already had the 3rd party efforts now they get the popluar motion heavy games that Wii had. EA sports Active Just Dance etc.
One is an American console, one is Japanese, that makes them different enough and PS3 gets alot of Japan only exclusive games, but whatever, you must have started gaming a week ago becasue GEN and SNES were pretty damn similar outside of first party and Square
