Ham_burgeler has a point, sorry if you don't like that.

It's only fesible to compare things on an even keel, fact of the matter is PS3 had a price cut and 360 didn't, and you can harp on about gift cards all you like, most years this gen MS have shipped more elsewhere than they have in the US for Q4, and it had basically jack all elsewhere whilst PS3 had a cut. PS3 also had giftcards and deals on top of its price cut.

I don't think exclusives really matter much, don't think role reversal there would have made much difference.

So you'd say Kinect is not a factor but a price cut is?

I'm saying, Sony has an answer to Kinect, the Move. MS didn't respond to PS3 cut.

Huge marketing for Kinect and XB360 is a commercial move with effect on sales comparable to Sony's price cut and more exclusives released. The same effect reached with different means. We can't say they are the same, but their effects were the same, excellent sales.

Edit: and it can be said in a totally neutral way, like I just did.
