Depends on how you look at the word "mass". It recieved more than any other console. A whole lot more. It had more deals with giftcards over the Holidays than any other console.

I was talking about the Holidays, quite obviously, but if you want to go into 2010 "exclusives" that were actually meaningful...

PS3 Exclusives - God of War 3, MAG, Heavy Rain, Gran Turismo 5, ModNation Racers, Sports Champions.
Game not on 360 - EyePet,

vs.

X360 Exclusives - Halo Reach, Fable 3, Crackdown 2, Kinect Adventures, Kinect Sports, Kinectimals, Dance Central.
Games not on PS3 - Splinter Cell Conviction, Mass Effect 2

Software lineups were fairly even in 2010 when you actually take time to look up what was released. 2011 is as we know, a totally different story.

Didn't the 360 also have that laptop deal in 2011 too? Along with all those giftcards?

Anyway.

All this is pointless really. Not really sure why I even brought up these "excuses". Whoever wins, wins. Simple as that.

That's all well and good Carl, but you're STILL overlooking the fact that if MS had given away 500,000 Xboxes, they would have "won" 2011!

And if they had given away 1,000,000 Xboxes, they would have won even bigger!

The hilarious thing here is even if the final pre-corrected numbers showed that MS sold a single console more than SCE, NOBODY would even bother to bake up a list of hypothetical, useless reasons why the Xbox 360 didn't "win" in 2011.

Why would they talk about reason why it didn't win, when it did win? That honour would go to Sony fans.

Carl is right on one thing at least, whoever wins, wins, and that's that. Doesn't mean people can't give their opinion on the whole situation though ..
