Still dont forget Vgchartz arent very accurate, wait for the official numbers to see if theres anything over or under tracked. |
Some people would argue that it's multi-plats that are far more important to a console, maybe its the alcohol but I struggle how people can use exclusives and Japan as the only reason the PS3 has sold as well as it has, it would be like people claiming the only reason the 360 is doing well is because of the dominance of the single biggest market in the world and also having kinect, one of the fastest selling electronic devices ever and then claiming if it was reversed PS3 would stomp the 360, ifs and buts.

If the PS3 didnt have the many exlusives and Japan it would still have sold well, just not nearly aswell as Xbox.

And I'll reiterate, what would the sales be like if there was no kinect and the Americas was closer to parity, you can't just look at one side of an arguement and totally dismiss the other, the fact is the 360 has had its best year (again, which is very impressive) and it's selling equal to the PS3 not more than.
Both Sony and Microsoft should be congratulated for a great year regardless of the reason they sold so well.

Double standards are the province of fanboys on both sides. They'll never accept the fact their own arguement is simply the inverse arguement of the other side.
