There are a lot of similarities to chrono trigger, and rumour has it some of the CT staff worked on the game, But the multiple ending system is strangely not based on your dialogue choices in conversation but what places you go and when, So without trying to give too much away, the story is very much based around time manipulation. I'm still yet to get the perfect ending (I should have bought a guide with the game) so let me get back to you once I have. But suffice to say in places the game has a very nostalgic CT feel to it.

So basically it's pretty similar to CT's New Game+ 8 different endings, which depended on the time in which you faced Lavos. Pretty neat of them to do it that way
