I'm holding out hope that it will still be decent but pretty much any anticipation I had for this game died the moment FFXIII came out (or rather the moment I read a review, the review gave it a 9 but from the text all I could think is what a crappy game despite the positive spin)
I think the reason more people aren't working on it is because they aren't good enough. I mean a publisher like square can get tons of grunts but the higher ups you can't exactly replace on the fly and like you said that one guy is doing pretty much everything and working on like 20 other games. In short they can't just throw someone in those positions and the fact that there aren't more higher ups is slowing it down.
