On many occasions Nomura stated that Versus is his passion project ,and this is the direction he always wanted for the franchise but never got the chance , now with his own Final Fantasy at hand he wants to prove a point with it, if Versus turns out to be huge success and universally acclaimed the whole franchise might follow this direction
I'm sure many people will say that they are not interested anymore, but I'm also sure that the hype machine will work again once we get an official release date and more trailers/info, Late 2012 in Japan , early 2013 for us .. I hope.
SE take a major blame for the dely , they have been a perfect example of how NOT to manage your company this generation.
As for me, I've never lost interest. Hell, I'm a gamer again because of the first trailer in 2006, I'm as excited as ever :'D
