Machina said: #7 - Mirror's Edge (360/PS3/PC) Phenominal. And it's a platformer... in first person. Insane concept, but it works. There's tonnes of depth to the gameplay; pulling off all the various platforming moves whilst maintaining speed and momentum is damn hard, but when you manage to complete a speed run under the time limit without messing up (as I've been attempting recently) you feel like a platforming God. There are loads of alternate routes, shotrtcuts, and moves which I didn't even know existed until I started going for the speed run achievements. If all you play is the campaign you're given the impression of a hugely linear game, but the maps are actually full of alternate routes and clever short cuts. Give us a sequel EA, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease :( |
Reading this made me realize that I need to find a place for this game in my Top 50 next year. Also, I need to get back to the speedruns, they really are the best thing this game has to offer (that and the visuals of course)
