I never knew simplifying actions into generic ones made something repetitive. If that's the case, I guess games with unique scenarios are super repetitive too. I mean, you're always exposed to a situation and then forced to solve it, exposed to a situation and then forced to solve it, exposed to a situation and then forced to solve it. It just goes on and on and on. You can't generalize something and then call it repetitive; that makes no sense.
