#11. StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty (PC)
I absolutely love StarCraft/ Brood War (I'll leave it at that for now). I waited for a sequel for years as Blizzard was counting their WoW money. Finally it was announced, I was ecstatic and worried... what if it doesn't live up to the original? What if they screw with the formula and introduce heroes like in WarCraft III? Luckily, the StarCraft formula was intact and I was treated to an awesome RTS like only Blizzard knows how to do.
What surprised me the most is how I enjoyed the single player campaign. I expected to play through it to experience the story and then jump straight into the multiplayer but there was a lot a variety in the missions and I found myself enjoying every second of it.
As for the multiplayer, it's incredible, fast-paced and thanks to the league system I can hope to win a game from time to time. It is one of my goals to play more of it and become better at countering my opponent's strategies. All I have to do is finish all my backlog...
