Where it all began. It was simple but unbelievably addictive - I dread to think hour many hours of my life it consumed at the time (it's for precisely this reason that I only buy one Pokemon game each handheld generation). Easily my favourite Gameboy game. Subsequent entries are much better if you compare them against Red/Blue today of course, but Red/Blue was infinitely better for its time and the game hasn't changed much since then, so that's why I've picked Red/Blue (that and nostalgia).

High five! Same game(s) on #11. :D
And I guess nostalgia is also a reason for me why I still love it way more than Black/White for example. But of course it's not the only one, I also like the design of the Pokemon more, etc.
