.Major letdown: Halo: CEA--Now don't get me wrong I think Halo: CEA is a good game but it wasn't anywhere near as good as I remember. The graphics improvements were really the only plus for it and it has loads of technical problems including the worst frame rate I have ever played in a game. Nostalgia is a bitch.
.Most Joyous: Warcraft III &expansion packs--The most joyous gaming times this year were definitely from Warcraft III. Playing by yourself is hella boring but when you and 3 friends play the multitude of fun gametypes lan style it's amazing fun. Sheep vs. Rabbits <3
.Most played: Halo Reach--This one was a toss up between Skyrim, Black Ops and Reach because I know I've played each over 100 hours but I think the winner would be Halo Reach because I had a few times this year where I played the game like crack.
.Best graphics: Killzone 3--This was definitely the best looking game I have ever seen. The sheer visual fidelity and epic set pieces of the game were magnificent
.Game of the year: Skyrim--Never have I ever played such an amazing and fullfilling game as this. There are very few things bethesda could have done to make it better.
.Console of the year: Xbox 360--This console gave me Forza 4, Halo: CEA, Bastion and gears 3 which was more then enough to wet my desire for games plus all the excellent 3rd party games plus some awesome new apps and functionality.
.[insert] is doomed: Nothing
.Developer of the year: Bethesda would have to be the one because they gave me the best game I've ever played and I applaud them for that.
.Most anticipated for 2012: This one is a toss up between Mass Effect 3 and Halo 4 seeing as both games look amazing.
