My 3DS's battery life is amazing. Sometimes I except to drop a bar, however most of the time it doesn't. I one time did a test to see how long the battery would last. It was on lowest brightness setting (also on power saving mode), full volume, no 3D, and I sometimes turn on the wi-fi. It lasted for 3 hours and 30 mins per bar! That's 14 hours!
