Hot Shots Golf topped Uncharted in Japan Vita pre-orders

Cartoony golf beats treasure hunting in Japan, it seems, as Hot Shots Golf was Japan's most pre-ordered Vita title.

That's according to Sony stats prior to the launch of the console in that region last Friday.

 

Speaking to the US PS Blog, VP of SCE Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida said: "Actually, we collect data from retailers taking pre-orders and we know that Everybody's Golf (as it's known in Japan) is the most popular.

"Uncharted: Golden Abyss is number two," he added, which we expect will have a good chance of topping pre-order charts this side of the planet.

"I'm very proud that they are both Worldwide Studios titles," said Yoshida.

In its first two days on sale in Japan, the PlayStation Vita has managed to sell 312,407 units, beating the PSP's opening numbers but falling short of Nintendo's 3DS launch sales.
