| Rainbow Yoshi said: Before Crash Bandicoot Naughty Dog was relatively unknown and Sony's split from Nintendo and the development of the PS1 allowed them to delve into the new territory that was made. Crash Bandicoot was released early on in the PS1's life and after success Crash 2: Wrath of Cortex and Crash 3: Warped were released with even better success. Naughty Dog released the only kart game to rival the Mario Kart series which was Crash Team Racing. Naughty Dog found themselves intigrated into Sony's world soon after and shamefully sold Crash Bandicoot away to Activision (Insomniac made the same mistake with Spyro). Naughty Dog then made a new franchise which was Jak Daxter, but shamefully I didn't play them. The Jak and Daxter series followed similar success. Another console and another franchise came about, Uncharted made a dignified debut on the PS3 but was quickly topped by a revolutionary sequel two years later. Uncharted 2 would feature Naughty Dog's first attempt at online and it mainly didn't fail. Uncharted 3 was next but had a vast amount of hype surrounding it, it was an astounding in my view but the impact was difficult to replicate. Now we're awaiting Naughty Dog's new franchise Last of Us, which will surely revolutionise the horror gaming genre. Don't count on an "Unkarted" though. |
No UnKarted?! :(
Would have liked to see that, would be really funny.
