Sony will push through with more PlayStation hardware whether investors are with them or not. Sony isn't a company that bends at what the investors say. That has been proven all throughout their history.
PlayStation never would have happened it Ken Kutaragi gave up when the investors said no. WorldWide Studios never would have happened, because the investors said no. Kaz replacing Howard Stringer is a sign that the people within Sony are showing they are smart and they a pulling a leader from the gaming division to head up the entire company.
PlayStation and Sony gaming as a whole will continue.
