I don't like it in principle, but legally this was always going to be the outcome, and I do feel Sony would never have removed the feature at all if it hadn't been for the hacking exploiting it.

But still - I never like to see consumer's rights potentially weakened. Tough call. Now when they installed root kits that was an easy one to hate on.
