Xbox 720 launching in 2013, 'Microsoft source confirms' Veteran Xbox design boss also reportedly replaced

I'm considering picking up a 360 slim over christmas but don't want to get one to be told in january that the 720 is less than a year away. If it's a 2012 release then I'll make do with my old pro model, if it's a 2013 then I'll go for a slim and wait patiently.
