They had a choice to keep it at the expense of sacrificing it as a games device. So what you're telling me is, say Sony decided the BluRay capability for the PS3 was deemed too insecure, so the next firmware removes BluRay playability. That's alright, right? You justified that you have the choice to either keep the BluRay, but never play online games or new games ever again, or happily remove BluRay....
