I haven't purchased or played a single game on my PS3 since they removed the Other OS feature on principal that I refuse to line their pockets further as they gleefully fleece me of features I paid for. This stopped being a issue for me a long time ago and Sony will not be getting anymore of my money in the future anyway. Not a big loss for them really as I would only have bought 3 or 4 games in that timescale anyway.
I remember people saying that those of us who complained about this issue were just doing so because it didn't matter, well 18 months down the line I assure you it does still matter to some and it's disgusting this case got thrown out by a judge that I would question if he has the necessary skills to pass judgement on a case like this anyway.
For the record people are entitled to make their own minds up how they spend their money and I don't blame consumers who couldn't care less about Other OS continuing merrily on their way. Still not sure why I haven't hacked my PS3 to get the best of both worlds in terms of piracy and homebrew...
