Sony Computer Entertainment is currently sending out free 30-day trial codes to members of the Playstation Network. The e-mail contains three codes, one for you and two to share with others. A credit card is required to sign up for the free trail. The codes, which can be redeemed through the “Account Management” section under the Playstation Network section of the XrossMediaBar, will also expire on March 31, 2012. You can check out the e-mail message in the slideshow to the left of this article.

First revealed at E3 2010, the Playstation Plus is a premium service which features exclusive discounts, demo and beta access, free games (as long as you stayed as a member), automatic online updates in addition to free cloud storage. According to Sony, Playstation Plus offered $1200 in “exclusive discounts” in 2011 alone.

Normally, a Playstation Plus subscription costs $17.99 over a three-month period or $49.99 over a year.
