Ugh ... do we need another zombie game? Survival horror used to be so much more of an inventive and creative genre. Resident Evil had zombies (which was way before the big trend kicked in), Fatal Frame had ghosts, Silent Hill had abstractions from the main character's mind, and, more recently, Condemned preyed on our fear of homeless people.
That issue aside, the trailer was just a little too bright and uncharted-esque for me to consider this a survival horror game. We have seen everything in this trailer before already too ... Dead Island (the little girl being used as a device to spice up the trailer and give us the idea that the game will have an interesting story beyond the standard "kill all the zombies" dynamic) fallout (post apoc setting) Dead Rising 2 and Silent Hill 1 (father and daughter story) and left 4 dead (special infected zombie). I just don't see an identity for this game yet ... maybe it will get one when more info is released, but a trailer should at least give us some idea of a game's "angle."
I also don't like the idea of having the daughter character around either. Hopefully, she just gets kidnapped a lot or is stuck in a closet some where for the majority of the game.
