#20 Dreamfall: The longest journey played on PC, released 2006
One of the last great adventure games. This game showed that 3D adventure games can work. I love the dual storyline, going back and forth between worlds. The near future world is well realized as is the fantasy world.
The game was criticized for it's combat, but that's the same as complaining about the puzzle elements in Halo. The story, characters, conversations, exploration and different settings all make this game stand out for me.
