I bet if the game wasnt named "Final Fantasy", people would praise it, I believe the reason why people hate XIII so much is because its so different from the older installations in the series. FFXIII was not a good game. It was an interactive movie.
As long as FFXV is a video game and not a film then people will not like FFXIII more than it.

Interactive movie? Hardly, sure the game is linear, but not by far a interactive movie. If it was a interactive movie, than the game would of been alot more linear than it already is lol (stat-skill and battle system included).

It's a video game that's a hybrid between a game and a film-like story telling techniques. An interactive movie. The same could be said about MGS4.
