As a customer who owns a ps3 and knows they went 6B into the hole padding it with features, I'd say it's not a big deal that I have to spend 30-50 dollars on a proprietary memory card. Shit, mem cards on ps2 and ps1 used to be 35$ or so as well, and those were proprietary. I just don't see it as a big deal. Other people can feel free to do so. |
Want to know why I like the PS3 and had no issues buying one? Because I knew I could just toss any 2.5 inch HDD in there, and I did. It's a WD black 500GB so I even have 5 years of warranty on it, which is longer than the PS3 warranty, on top of it being on sale and I got it super cheap. When you release a product, you want to make it attractive especially to your current product users, by doing shit like this where I have to buy 3 memory cards at a premium just so I can have different accounts where I won't be locked out of DLC content is fucking bull shit and I'm a very value oriented shopper. Shit like this is what MS would possibly do, and that's part of the reason why I sold my 360 because MS gaming division jacks the shit out of your wallet for no good reason other than to feed on sheeps. I don't know how Sony can convince me to buy a Vita atm when I have 3 active PSN accounts. I'm Asian, I understand other languages, shocker! It's just not good for people like me. At least I have the option of never buying one I guess.....
