Well it depends, if you have not gotten a system from this generation, most likley you are not going to buy a new generation counsel anytime soon.
I usually buy a counsel about 3-4 years into a generation.
For example, bought a Ps2 in 2004, a Xbox 360 in 2009 and a Ps3 in 2011.
Likely will be staying with the Ps3 till 2013+
