Namco filed a lawsuit after CD Projekt allegedly violated a distribution contract for the game on two occasions - by removing PC DRM through a patch and then signing a deal awarding THQ with European publishing rights to the Xbox 360 version.

CD Projekt failed to convince the authorities that its distribution agreement with Namco Bandai was only applicable to the PC edition of the title, and has now been ordered to hand back publishing rights to Namco within 15 days or face a subsequent fine of €15,000 per day.

Speaking to Polish news site Parkiet (via Edge), CD Projekt CEO Marcin Iwinski said he was "not satisfied" with the verdict but was relieved to end the dispute.

Warner Bros. is still set to distribute the game in US territories where the ruling does not apply.
