Even though I understand what you're trying to say, one console which has the content of games for PS3 and Nintendo combined, which will speak to every gamer (casual, hardcore,...) would be awesome!
But Nintendo and Sony are 2 totally different companies with their own vision and strategy!
They're both Japanse, but that doesn't mean anything!
Microsoft and Apple are both American... are they the same?
They didn't get along in the N64/PSX era, and the industry wasn't as competitive and hard as now so...
