I'm simply not going into the skills menu, the game doesn't force you to level up.

My skills still go up, but magicka, health and stamina are still at a hundred and no perks ofcourse.

I just tested to see how far I would be by going in the skills menu, lvl 12 actually.

Ah I see. But at what level difficulty are you playing? Because I just don't see anyone surviving at that level on difficulties such as Expert or Master. Heck a single Falmer arrow will take almost all your Health, even if you do manage to find some good Dwarven pieces laying about (assuming you're playing a heavy armour character). Blackreach would be hell to play at Expert Level 1.

Whatever the default difficulty level is. The game scales according to your level inside dungeons. Inside my lvl 1 char is more capable dealing with Draugr death lords then my lvl 53 :/ Outside I had my followers clean up everything for me :) And when they're not around you can usually trick the dumb AI pathing to get stuck on the terrain somewhere. I took a frost troll down with 30 arrows simply standing in a narrow door way, it just takes a while. A dumb blood dragon couldn't deal with a hill, just sat there taking arrows and spewing fire over my head. I kept unloading arrows into a wingtip until he died.

Running away usually works too. Light armor and you can outrun anything while they think about how to get over a little ledge.

Edit: Nm, I wasn't actually all the way into Blackreach yet. The falmer just started to kick my ass in Alftand Cathedral and in Blackreach each hit practically takes away 90% of my measely 100 health. Alftand was a lot of running backwards, using potions and dying, now I'm out of potions in Blackreach, end of the line for lvl 1.

My level 4, Heavy Armour Weaponmaster character can also outrun pretty much anything, thanks to the Steed Stone (Well at least until he gets Conditioning). But I see, you have some good strategies, unfortunately I haven't yet encountered a Dragon that gets stuck on terrain, and even most enemies can overcome doorways and whatnot (except for large frame enemies such as Giant Frostbite Spiders). Probably just lack of luck, but my Assassin character had a bit of an extremely rough patch on Master until I hit level 10 with him (that's when I got the 3x Sneak attack Bow damage and 15x Sneak attack dagger damage).

The Falmer are pretty damn annoying, especially at high levels when Gloomlurkers and Shadowlurkers start appearing in droves. With the no resistance bug it's worse than fighting mages >_> (thank the mods for the SKSE that allowed the restoration of resistances).
