Wow, I'm glad I'm not one of those stuck with a PS3 version. I'd never be able to handle that kind of brokiness no matter how great the game is.
I've played the PC version for about 60 hours and at first the bugs didn't annoy me much. I had a few cases with disappearing textures and CTD's but I could handle it. But now it's starting to annoy me. The third quest given by Arniel were you have to heat up the warped soul broke, and I had to manually set the quest variables to be able to finih it...I also had to restart after finishing Arniel's fourth quest because I never got the Keening (?).
When I played earlier today I was out in the wild picking flowers when a bounty hunter suddenly appeared and said he was after me because of crimes I had comitted in the Falkreath hold. I haven't been there yet! And the bounty was 0 gold. >_> So I payed him zero gold and then he started attacking me, he and his buddy who flew around in circles with his superhorse, 20 feet above my head. Had to reload, and the bounty hunter appeared again but this time he didn't attack me after getting his 0 gold. Now I'm kinda scared to go to Falkreath because of all the imaginary crimes they might accuse me of...
Now I can take a few texture failures, some CTD's and even getting stuck in a rock now and then while being chased by two giants and their pet mammuts. But enough is enough. Bugs that breaks the game are unacceptable. I should not have to manually set game variables to be able to finish quests.
I really like this game and that's why it's so sad that there is so much to complain about that really shouldn't be there. Take away all the BS and you have a masterpiece. Skyrim is a gem, but as it is now it's a flawed one.
