Really about the Darkness? I personally couldn't bring myself to finish it, and I am a huge fan of FPS genre.

more than sure. Only the WWI part was kinda weird, but the rest was fantastic. The last FPS with a better story was only Half-Life 2.

That's the reason then, I played it up to WWI and enjoyed it, but couldn't bring myself to go past that stage, it was just so bad and I got stuck in a clusterfuck of some sort, I sprint distance, kill some germans, then I get teleported back so I was like wtf, did it again same shit happened again, so I just rage quit it.
