I wonder why most developers don't seem to take advantage of the true power of the Vita, you look at stuff like Uncharted: Golden Abyss or Gravity Daze/Rush, and the graphics look almost like a PS3 game... but other games just look like PSP or 3DS games. I guess it must be because these are launch titles and many developers just ported their PSP games to Vita, but as time goes by, more and more will develop with the PSVita in mind and take advantage of it... or that's what I hope.

Imagine if Square-Enix released FF Type-0 on the Vita but instead of being a port of the PSP version at a higher resolution, it was remade with better graphics, better textures, more effects, etc, and looked almost like a PS3 game :O.

High quality graphics aren't cheap to make, and a lot of the teams showing their games for Vita are small developers. Chances are they don't have an insanely big budget.

I guess so, but developers like Square enix should have the budget to make Lord of Apocalypse and the evil-pikmin-like game look almost like PS3 games instead of PSP ones :P that's the main reason why I think many may be just porting stuff from PSP to Vita... and hope that changes with time.

 

By the way, does anyone know if the Devil May Cry collection is coming to the Vita too?, I know MGS collection is, but I don't know about DMC.
