Good God, we should be friends! All great music, and I'll admit I haven't heard of a few. Youtubed a few of them and I'm liking what I hear. But, really you had me at Band of Horses, Everything All The Time is one of my favorite albums ever.
On a sidenote, listening to Cotton Jones, Somehow Keep It Going. The first song I clicked on youtube, and I'm very impressed.
Back on track, going through my current itunes music. I was a big fan of Bear vs. Shark, sad to see them part ways. I keep finding myself impressed with Brand New, with each album they grow up and change in ways that I would never have expected, from their pop-punk filled first album to their latest rythmic/scream rock (I just made that up, but not sure how else to describe Daisy, great cd).
I'll always have a special spot for Bright Eyes, though I know they are pre 2000 so that's all I'll say about them in this thread.
Sufjan Stevens and The Strokes are still bringing out great music, though I think they've been around since 99.
The Ditty Bops and A Fine Frenzy are just two groups with female singers that drive me crazy.
The Weepies and Two Gallants.
And lastly, a band that has sent shots of amazment through my veins time and time again, another group that started in 99 but I'll give them a free pass on this thread, Dr. Dog. And I will leave you a link to my drunken thread of the past about them, with more links to their songs.
