The problem is Versus is more of a Japanese game. Just look at the main hero. Noctis screams Jpop or Kpop fashion. A showcase of a trailer for Versus will be perfect in a japanese event like jump festa or SE's own event and VGA is more Western oriented so RE 6 or MGS 5 would fit the bill because they aren't announce as an exclusive. These games are also more western oriented and they would be totally unbelievable.
Anyway, I am not saying Versus will not happen but it's unlikely IHMO and I think Geoff Keighley is just hyping up VGA awards even though he already said that it isn't sony's smash bro it could still be it. If he is not lying then my guess are Jak 4, Gran Turismo 6, Syphon Filter or Crash Bandicoot (Crash would totally unbelievable XD ).

But think about the ones who would watch the VGA's. Gamers. I would love to see Square and Sony to team up for a unified front and promote the both of them are wanting everyone's attention. Versus XIII has turned heads before. Everytime something is shown; gamers the world over go into a frenzy and talk about it everywhere someone will listen to them.
Versus XIII can (and should) put a major focus on japanese gaming again. Of course my vote still goes to "Sony Smash Bros." or like I named it PlayStation *'s Clash.

dunno if you saw it but I posted a link earlier where Geoff in a roubd about way denied that will be the SOny Title Fight game..when a folower asked him about the game on twitter if its the surprise he is referring to..he said wanna bet...kinda makes it look like that's not the game he is referring to
