I have been playing video games from the beginning....literally! I replaced my laptop with an ipad2 about 6 months ago, and just got an iPhone 4s a week after launch. So, I can say that the games are definitely "different" on iOS devices. I also can tell you that most of them were developed with low power small screens in mind. The most current games coming out are much closer to reaching the "core" gamers. They still do not have the controls that are easy to use for action games, but that will also improve over time. Reality is, the Vita should have come out 2 years ago... Now, within the next year or so, these mobile devices will be matching all the capabilities of the Vita, and they will be near free when you sign up for your cell carrier!
