- The word Yoga literally means the exact same thing as religion. The root word in Sanskrit for yoga is the equivalient of 'religio' - the Latin root.
- Yoga is meant to purify the body and mind. It involves asanas (physical body manipulation), pranayama (breath control), ahimsa (non-violence and generally being kind), sankhya (analytical knowledge of the world obtained through the study of shastra - scripture) and eventually Yoga includes Bhakti - devotion to God.
- The Yoga system is much older than Christianity. It is part of the culture of the Rig Veda which is at least 4000 yaers old.
- The philosophy presented in the Yoga sutras (and indeed the whole Vedanta) is incomparably more complete and coherent than anything Christianity has ever produced.
- The purposeful degradation of 'Hinduism' has been inflicted by the British for hundreds of years.
- There is evidence that Jesus went to India. If he did, he most definitely learnt spiritual philosophy from the yoga practitioners there.
