Before the holidays hit, the PS3 has amassed a sales gap of ~1.5 million for this year. Sure the 360 is probably going to knock off ~500K-700K before the end of the year, thanks to the holidays in America. That still leaves a gap of ~900K-1M. Having said that, I think they will either arrive at 70 million around the same time or with the 360 a few months ahead. However, the PS3 will most likely reach 80 million first. |
Yes, but the next month's worth of data will be extremely similar to this weeks data. This will be millions of sales for both consoles, and will give the 360 an even bigger lead. It won't be till January that the PS3 even has a chance to start cutting down the gap.
