Hope’s voice was loud and clear. In his face, she recognized sadness – but also determination. They really made a miracle come true – they saved the residents of Cocoon. But it had to be child’s play compared to the task that it has to be to save Vanille and Fang from the crystal that was seen as their prison. Or at least so he thought.
Thanks Hope, she whispered to herself. We will meet each other again… somehow.
We’ll always watch over all of you. You can’t see us, but we see you. Entire Gran Pulse is in our sight from up here. So off you all go, live your life’s . Be happy, and never leave those you love.
Vanille was satisfied, being able to watch all her friends united again. She was happy, being finally able to atone for her sins, the terrible things she did. Serah and Dajh turned L’Cie because of her…
After the excitement of her friends being well and unharmed had lowered a bit, it looked like Serah’s and her eyes crossed sight, they noticed each other, even if it was just for a brief moment. But this moment ended quickly, for Serah’s eyes were observing Cocoon. A Shadow appeared on her face.
Those are my very eyes, Vanille thought. The eyes of someone who is aware that his deeds brought misery over others… The Fate of her that made so many people suffer, is what pains her now. The weight of this guilt is what overwhelms you. It scares you, it is impossible to stand against it, so your only way out is to run away from it…
I know this look on her face. I know it because mine was once the same…
I know what Serah is going through right now.
