look at it like this. 360.
i doubt Ps3 will have that level of hardware next yr. unless Sony forecast another 15m units or more by 2012 yr. end. then the consoles should be about even in total hardware sold. or they could do it at the same time.
the only thing that will likely stop 360 from hitting 70m first is if PS3 pushes 62m units by 2011 yr.'s. end and continues pushing more hardware Jan.-Oct. if PS3 can get a 1m unit lead during those 10 months then it's likely PS3 will do it first or just miss it by a few thousand.
with that said i don't PS3 selling 70m before 360.
