Can't comment on the highest end settings, but I can say that thanks to consoles crappy graphical ability there probably was much more focus on performance for those of us with PC's that are 3-4 years old.

How so?  Due to console's low standards and general poor level ability (IE, lesser then actually my crappy off the shelf 3 year old PC) games are made at a much lower standard graphically.

Which is good, because it means i can run them.

Back when Morrowing came out.  There was no way you were running it on a three year old computer and getting framerates that good.

 

Console graphics are objectivly crappy in power compaired to PCs.

There are like 3 PC games that have much better graphics than games on consoles. The rest all look about the same.

Calling it crappy is trolling and you'd think you know that by now.

Did you actually bother to read any of my posts in this thread.  Cause you know... you've kinda missed the point entirely.

I'll sum it up again.

Thanks to consoles increased market shares...  Developers are basing their graphics levels around consoles, instead of the ultra high PC level graphics.

Unlike back when Morrowind first came out, and you needed a decent computer to play it.  A computer with crappy graphic capabilties like mine can get great framerates because it's based around consoles even more subpar graphical abilties.

The fact that games with far supeiror graphical abilties proves that it's possible, but isn't being done to keep console ports in mind.

Which mind you i consider a GOOD thing.  I just bought the Geneforge collection off steam for gods sake.

 

It's a fact that my graphical capailties are crappy compaired to even an average PC bought off a shelf today.  It's also a fact that consoles level of graphic capability is below that of my crappy PC's grahics.  So how in anyway is that trolling?   Espiecally considering the fact that i think having crappy graphics is generally a GOOD thing because it means I can actually play the games, and means that high budget games with crappy graphics usually put that money elsewhere which usually leads to a better game?
