Action adventure: Assassin's Creed II FPS: Bioshock RPG: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Platformer: Super Mario Galaxy Racing: Mario Kart DS TPS: Gears of War 2 Puzzle: Super Stardust HD Fighting: Virtua Fighter 5 Maybe not the best in each genre, but the ones I've had the most fun with. Bioshock, for example, had a dark, haunting atmosphere and some really creative weapon choices.
